Nissan first introduced its Maxima in 1981 but style points and special features on the soon-to-be-released 40th Anniversary Edition – including sleek lines, 19-inch black alloy wheels, and black exhaust tips – combine to make it as fresh as any newly-introduced model on the market.
What The 40th Anniversary Design Includes
The limited edition of Nissan’s longest continuously offered model spruces up the already sassy Maximum Platinum. Additions include a two-tone Ruby Slate Gray Pearl exterior with a black roof, black exterior finishes and trim badges (including a 40th Anniversary badge), a black exhaust finisher, red semi-aniline leather-appointed seating with 40th Anniversary embossing, red contrast interior stitching, and satin dark chrome interior faceted finishers.
Other special touches include white speedometer and tachometer faces – each styled with a nod to the car’s early editions – and heated rear seats.
Pricing & Availability
Nissan reports it will make the 40th Anniversary Maxima available this fall but have not set a release date or pricing. Otherwise, the 2021 Nissan Maxima will be offered in SV, SR and Platinum grade. Each is equipped with a 300-horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine and an Xtronic transmission.
