2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition: A Jet Black Machine That’s Also Red Hot!

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition is a dream car. The GT Stealth Edition is a car that, had it existed when I was growing up, I would have had a poster of it on my wall. Mercedes-AMG offers the 2021 GT as either a coupe or roadster (so I would have had two posters, I suppose). And naturally, the Stealth Edition is available for both.

What Is The GT Stealth Edition?

The AMG Exterior Night Package is what really gives the GT Stealth Edition that menacing look. The front grille, headlamps, brake calipers, and 19-inch Y-spoke wheels all receive the black-out treatment. Roadster models have a soft black top; the Coupe comes with a carbon fiber roof.

Paint choices include straight black, obsidian black metallic, selenite grey metallic, and designo graphite grey magno. In all fairness, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition is going to look fantastic in any color. In you are looking to get your hands on one of these, every option on the color palette is awesome.

The inside is swanky and sporty, with AMG Performance seats, black Nappa leather with diamond quilting and black topstitching, a Dinamica microfiber AMG steering wheel, and numerous piano black trim elements.

Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition: The Goods

Under the hood is a handcrafted 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 (handcrafted engines are an AMG tradition). The engine, attached to an AMG dual-clutch seven-speed transmission, creates 523 horsepower (5,500 to 6,750 rpm) and 494 lb-ft. of torque (2,100 to 5,250 rpm). The Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition hits 60 in 3.7 seconds and tops out at 194 (Coupe) and 193 (Roadster).

Standard is the AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping, electronic limited-slip differential on the rear axle, and the AMG high-performance composite braking system.

Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition Availability

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition will be available early next year. As of this writing, Mercedes-Benz has not released pricing for the GT Stealth Edition. The current AMG GT Coupe starts at $115,900, while the Roadster begins at $127,900. We will expect a higher premium for the GT Stealth Edition when it does arrive.
