Nissan’s Next X-terra Points to V6 Debut with Hybrid Coming After

Nissan is making another go round with the X-terra and new information released at the 2026 New York International Auto Show is indicating an expanded powertrain strategy than initially indicated. The reintroduced SUV, now projected to come in 2028, now seems to be heading towards two mechanical choices, with an internal combustion model coming first, followed by a hybrid model added to the lineup.

Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product and planning officer for Nissan Americas, told Car and Driver the project keeps a pure gasoline variant in development. “There will be a pure ICE,” he said. He then narrowed the layout further. “If we do ICE only, it will be V6, it won’t be a four-cylinder turbo.”

Earlier talk had linked the third generation X-terra to an EV-only path, with production tied to Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi, plant from 2028. Those plans changed after the federal EV tax incentive disappeared last year. The body-on-frame SUV then shifted toward an electrified route built around combustion support rather than full battery propulsion.

A hybrid version is still part of the program, though Nissan has not fixed the timing. Pandikuthira described the sequence in plain terms. “Then we can build a hybrid off that.” He added, “What does that hybrid execution look like when it debuts? How many months after the ICE version? Still a work in progress at this point.”

One likely mechanical link sits with the pickup side of the business. Nissan already offers a 3.8 liter V6 in the Frontier, and the next X-terra is expected to share architecture with the next Frontier generation. The report notes a V6 route instead of the turbocharged four-cylinder formula used by Toyota rivals. Ford also enters the comparison, since the 3.0 liter EcoBoost in higher Bronco grades was mentioned as a reference point.

Design direction came up too. Pandikuthira said buyers should expect “a lot of those very tough, in-your-face design cues.” He had recently seen the vehicle in Japan as a full foam mockup, which suggests the visual program has already moved beyond sketches.

Nissan needs traction in North America. During the first quarter, Nissan Group deliveries in the US fell 7.5% to 247k units. More than 234k of those came from Nissan itself, where the decline reached 7.7%.

Passenger cars continue to weaken. Maxima has already left the lineup. Sentra is still building volume, or facing pressure after a 34.5% sales drop. Versa and Altima are also losing ground.

What a Major Car Accident Means Legally in Macon, GA

Major road crashes in Macon, GA, give rise to legal implications that extend beyond repair bills and medical bills. In the state of Georgia, a serious accident immediately raises issues of fault, insurance, and compensation. Law enforcement reports, accident reconstructions, and insurance claims are typically filed shortly after the accident, and each plays a role in how the case will be resolved.

Roads in Macon, GA, carry constant traffic, and serious crashes can quickly develop into complex legal situations. Many individuals seek guidance from an , GA, to better understand how fault is determined and how compensation claims are pursued.

Legal Responsibility Begins With Proving Negligence

Determining fault and responsibility is often the first step in an investigation of a serious accident. The majority of accident claims in Macon, GA, are negligence claims. That means a driver did not exercise reasonable care while driving, and as a result, injured another person. Motorists have a duty to obey traffic laws, remain attentive and drive safely. If they do not and are in an accident, they may be negligent.

Negligence will typically be determined by the court with four elements: duty, breach, causation, and damages.

Examples of negligence include speeding, texting, disobeying traffic signs and tailgating, and evidence to prove negligence can include police evidence and witness statements.

Georgia’s Comparative Fault Rule and Why It Matters

Liability in car accidents can be complicated by multiple factors. In Georgia, this is dealt with by a rule called modified comparative negligence, which permits the apportionment of fault.

This rule allows an injured party to collect damages even if they were partially at fault for the wreck, provided their fault is less than half of the total. If a person is found to be fifty percent or more at fault, they have no right to sue the other driver. Damages are also reduced according to the level of fault, which is why insurance companies scrutinise accident reports.

Insurance Claims After a Serious Collision

Before most car accidents are litigated, they are first resolved through insurance. The at-fault driver’s insurance company is usually responsible for covering the damages. Once a claim is submitted, the insurer reviews accident reports, witness statements, medical reports and damage reports to establish what happened. If the accident caused severe injuries, the claim may include medical care and treatment at home. The insurance company may dispute the extent of injuries and some medical costs.

Other common issues may appear during negotiations. These include:

  • Disputes about who caused the accident.
  • Delays in processing the claim.
  • Early settlement offers that do not fully reflect the cost of injuries.

For accident victims in Macon, GA, the challenge of dealing with insurance companies is one of the most stressful aspects of the recovery process. In the end, insurance companies are in the business of making profits.

Documentation, medical evidence, and knowledge of legal rights are all important to prevent undervaluing a claim. What Compensation May Be Available

What Compensation May Be Available

Serious car accidents can have an impact on almost every aspect of life. Under Georgia law, a victim of an accident can request compensation for economic and non-economic losses resulting from the accident.

Economic Damages

Economic damages are the financial losses suffered in a crash. Many of these losses can be backed up with medical bills, receipts, and pay stubs.

These can include medical bills for medical care, surgery, rehabilitation, and prescription drugs. Other expenses may include lost income if the injury prevents a person from earning income. This often includes property damage and auto repair bills.

Non-Economic Damages

Other damages are difficult to quantify in terms of bills and receipts. Non-economic damages include the personal consequences of an injury.

These types of damages include pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment, disability, and loss of consortium. Severe injuries can cause permanent disability, which is taken into account by courts and insurance providers when awarding damages.

When a Personal Injury Lawsuit May Become Necessary

Some car accident claims are resolved by insurance companies but some proceed if a satisfactory settlement cannot be reached. In these cases, personal injury lawsuits can be filed to have the court examine the evidence and decide who is at fault.

Witnesses, expert testimony, and evidence of injuries and damages may be presented in court. Under Georgia law, a claim must usually be filed within two years of the accident, or an injured party will miss the opportunity to seek compensation.

Wrap Up!

A serious car accident is about more than just injuries and property damage. It raises questions of negligence and liability, insurance issues, and the right to compensation under Georgia laws. Every aspect of the claims process relies on evidence, documentation, and knowledge of the legal processes.

Legal advice can ensure the rights of those with severe injuries in Macon, GA. An auto accident injury attorney in Macon, GA, can help clarify legal concerns and deal with the legal obligations after a serious accident.

Porsche Opens Orders for the 911 GT3 90 F.A., with Just 89 Cars Still Available

Porsche has just announced the availability of one of its newest and rarest variants based on its 992-generation GT3 Touring. Technically, the new car is still very similar to the usual offerings from the existing catalog of Porsche. The 2027 911 GT3 90 F. A. was unveiled on December 11, 2025, and designed as an homage to Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in honor of his 90th birthday.

Production will stop at 90 examples, but one is no longer part of that number for buyers. Porsche has already handed over the first car to Mark, the youngest son of Ferdinand Alexander, leaving 89 units for customers once order books open at the start of April.

Under the rear section, nothing changes mechanically. Compared with the stock GT3, the engine remains basically unchanged; we are dealing here with a naturally-aspirated boxer engine with a whopping 501 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque.

What separates this version begins with paint. Porsche developed a dedicated metallic shade named F. A. Green is a finish unavailable elsewhere in the brand’s lineup. The tone traces back to Oak Green metallic and also references the G-body 911 associated with F. A. Porsche during the 1980s.

Against that green surface sit Satin Black Sport Classic wheels, a combination not usually seen on a GT3 Touring. Each center-lock hub carries a Porsche crest using the 1963 design, while the rear decklid grille receives a gold plaque bearing the 90 F. A. Porsche emblem.

The interior takes a different route entirely. Porsche Sonderwunsch specified grid-weave fabric across the seat centers, then extended the same material to the glove compartment and the front trunk mat. That textile appears in five colors: black, green, truffle brown, cream, and Bordeaux red. Around it, limestone stitching and Truffle Brown Club leather shape most visible surfaces.

A few details are unusually specific. The Sport Chrono clock was redesigned to resemble the Chronograph 1 once created for F. A. Porsche, and the shift lever now uses open-pore walnut. On the dashboard trim, there is a gold plaque showing the silhouette of the original 911, a one-of-90 marking, and a reproduction of F. A. Porsche’s signature.

As for prices, the 911 GT3 90 F.A. costs no less than $387,000, before fees or taxes. Buyers are also invited to Zell am See for what Porsche calls a “unique product consultation” with Sonderwunsch before production begins in mid-2026.

Each owner also receives a Porsche Design travel bag and an exclusive Chronograph 1 derived from the Chronograph 1 – 1972 Limited Edition launched in 2022. The watch features a black hypoallergenic titanium case, may be ordered with either a black titanium bracelet or a leather strap, and carries laser engravings beneath the caseback for the matching production number and F.A.’s signature. Super-LumiNova treatment gives the hands and indices an aged appearance, while the initials of F. A. Porsche replaced the usual logo at 3 o’clock.
